Classic Martial Arts is a family oriented martial arts school featuring quality Karate and Jiu Jitsu instruction for all ages and fitness levels. At Classic Martial Arts, we know that the Martial Arts aren't just about self-defense. Students of all ages can improve their focus, concentration, agility, co-ordination and flexibility through their Martial Arts training.
Classic Martial Arts first opened our doors on Sept. 19, 1995 on Bayview Dr. and relocated to our current location at #1-43 Morrow Rd. on Jan. 2, 2003. In addition to our classes, we also have martial arts supplies for purchase.
Classic Martial Arts hosts two tournaments each year, one in May and one in September. These are small, friendly tournaments called "shiais" where the emphasis is placed on fun and good sportsmanship.
At Classic Martial Arts, we pride ourselves on being a community-minded Dojo and support many local and other charitable agencies. Some of the Charities we routinely support are:
- Supercities Walk for M.S.
- Angel Hair for Kids
- Foster Child in Haiti
- Barrie O.S.P.C.A.
- Barrie Food Bank
- Season's Center for Grieving Children
- Samaritan's Purse
Classic Martial Arts teaches students to set and achieve goals, and many parents find that their children's grades improve significantly.
